They stifle and destroy their lives.”

Israeli forces stormed the towns, again under the pretext of searching for the “wanted,” the new catch-all for Israeli violations of international law in the West Bank. In Jalboun it was before dawn when residents awoke to the sound of Israeli bullets.

Ahmed Abu Sayyad described at least 20 military machines storming the town, having come in from an Israeli settlement built nearby. The military vehicles closed all entrances to Jalboun and began to raid homes, tearing apart contents and throwing residents into the streets. Ten were bound, blindfolded, and taken to unknown locations.

More than 30 soldiers hit the Sayyad house. He was arrested two months ago accused of attempting to carry out a major resistance operation in Tel Aviv. Abu Omar's family was put outside and separated while military dogs tore through their house. A 60 year old was arrested.

In another Jalboun house, Ra'ed Ahmed Hussein Allah's family was destroyed along with the contents of their home when Israeli forces arrested Ra'ed. At least 50 soldiers stormed the house.

Ahmed Abu Saif described being tied up and interrogated. Thirty soldiers were in Amer Mohammed's house where he was subjected to hours of interrogation. He was arrested for affiliation with Islamic Jihad, along with several other people.

Near the Arab American University in Al Zababda at least 15 Israeli military patrols stormed the sleeping town. Ahmed Al Saadi said his family woke up panicked after bullets flew over their heads. Soldiers were screaming and running in from all sides. Family members were forced into the streets at gunpoint and several were arrested.
