Dr. Mo'awiah Hassanin, the director of the emergency department in the ministry of health in Gaza stated that there were also 357 people injured, among them 52 critically.

Dr. Hassanin urged all residents of Gaza who can donate blood to go to the nearest hospital and donate since there is a shortage of supplies and blood in the Gaza hospital.

On Thursday the Hamas Fatah infighting continued all over the Gaza strip. Sources in Gaza said that Hamas appeared to be in control of many areas of the costal region on Thursday and were surrounding Fatah forces in two of their bases in northern Gaza City.

Meanwhile, Abbas is expected to issue a statement on the future of the unity government between Hamas and Fatah later on Thursday, after crisis talks with representatives from Fatah and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).

Since Saturday, more than 80 people have been killed in the worst factional violence since Hamas won a parliamentary election last year. Some have already called this last wave a civil war.

Sources in Gaza told IMEMC that 16 Palestinians were killed after Hamas forces surrounded the preventative security forces, who are loyal to Fatah. Witnesses told IMEMC that the headquarters have fallen into the hands of Hamas while Fatah statements denied those claims.
