NABLUS, (PIC)-- Solidarity for Human Rights in Nablus stated in its monthly report, in which it monitors human rights abuses by the occupation, that six Palestinians were killed by the IOF during the current month of September.

The report said that four of those killed were under the age of 18, one of them a new born baby, whose mother was forced to give birth prematurely at a road block as the IOF soldiers monitoring the Hawara roadblock south of Nablus stopped her and her husband from reaching hospital in Nablus.

The Israeli occupation also escalated its arrest campaign against Palestinians. More than 200 Palestinians were arrested during incursions and raids into Palestinian population centres in the West Bank during the month of September, 25 of them under the age of 18 and 3 of them were women.

The organisation condemned the human rights abuses committed by the occupation against the Palestinian people and called on all human rights organisations to play an active role in pressuring the Israeli occupation into stopping such abuses in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, lift the siege and reopen the border crossings.

The organisation also called for serious moves towards the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails, especially the sick, women, and children as well as those who are serving long sentences.
