Khudari in a press release on Tuesday charged that the closure is in violation of the calm agreement, which stipulates opening of all Gaza Strip crossings.
He noted that the Karm Abu Salem crossing south of Gaza was working at 12% of its capacity.
The MP underlined that the IOA was still reducing the number of trucks allowed through the partially opened crossings, noting that the IOA currently allows access for 50 trucks daily instead of 70 which were allowed at the start of the calm. He pointed out that the Strip needs 700 trucks loaded with various commodities on daily basis.
Khudari further noted that the IOA suspended entry of goods, which it had allowed, such as wood and house utensils, and is still barring entry of raw materials and is slashing the quantity of fuel and goods in general.
