The truck, which started a long journey from Scotland to assist the besieged Palestinians in the Strip, was driven by a British man, of Palestinian origin, and his wife.
They are both members in the Scottish National Party and took a leave from their jobs to ferry the assistance via land route to rally support during their trek for the Palestinian plight.
The man and his wife, who have been stranded at the terminal for two days, would not return back home. They insist on entering Gaza with the assistance, which they say was a gift from the Scottish parliament and people.
They passed through 12 countries over 6,000 miles to bring the Rafah border closure to the attention of the world.
Egyptian security would not allow them access through the terminal unless they completed certain papers and coordinated with the Palestinian side, which is what they are doing at present.
During their trip, Croatia did not allow them to travel through its land so they had to travel one thousand miles more and circle Hungary and Romania to reach Turkey where they were stopped for 17 hours before proceeding to Syria.
In Syria they were protected by military escort and quickly crossed the country but when they arrived in Egypt problems started at Nuweibe, where they were grounded for 30 hours until they were allowed to pass on to Rafah.
