Haniyeh stated: "The bombing campaign against the Gaza Strip, including the attack on the positions of executive force, guards of the Prime Minister, money exchange shops, economic infrastructure, and the abduction of ministers and deputies and the heads and members of municipal and local councils, reflected the political impasse, security and moral dilemma experienced by the entity of Israel."

The Palestinian PM added, "We emphasize that this campaign would fail in front of the strong resistance and power of the people.”

Early this morning, Israeli army helicopters fired two rockets at a guard post located near the resident of the Prime Minister in Al Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza city.

Later during the day, Israeli war planes fired missiles at several targets in the Gaza strip, leaving 7 Palestinians dead and scores more injured.
