In his diary, Theodore Herzl, the father of modern Zionism, wrote that not always and not everywhere should Jews oppose anti-Semitism, because anti-Semites are an invaluable card that can be used against anyone, Jew or non-Jew, who dares to speak out against Israel and Zionism.

The Israeli peace camp didn't die. It was never born in the first place. While it's true that since the summer of 1967, several radical and brave political groups have been working against the occupation - all worthy of recognition - a large, influential peace camp has never existed here.

It would appear that Andrew Gilligan has abandoned objective investigative journalism to pursue a specific agenda, using people with lots of axes to grind to achieve his objectives.

Last week, Israel provoked anger and indignation by listing two important Muslim Palestinian sites- the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron and the Bilal Ibn Rabah Mosque in Bethlehem- as “Israeli archaeological sites.”
